Here at errigal surgery we strive to provide a just and efficient service to all of our patients, therefore our payment policy is that all accounts should be settled at the time of your consultation.
Patients with outstanding balances will be required to pay their balance in full prior to making any further appointments. If you have an outstanding balance, you may receive an SMS message from us as a reminder.
We accept payment by cash or card and can take payment over the phone where necessary.
We now offer the option of remote payments for some of our services including repeat prescription requests, letter requests and form completions.
We will send you a secure link for payment by SMS to your mobile phone. Once you receive the SMS you can click on the link to make payment easily and securely online.
Below is a list of our routine fees, some fees may vary depending on the service provided on the day. If you require any further details or information on a fee that is not listed below, please enquire at reception.

15 minute consultation with GP, to discuss one issue. Extended consultations or multiple issues to be discussed will incur an additional fee.
15 minute consultation with Practice Nurse
Standard GP Consultation & blood test, at same appointment.
Follow up GP Consultation, same complaint, within 14 days.

Cervical screening tests are free for patients 25 - 65 years old, once registered with CervicalCheck.
Initial Consultation with GP, including prescription for Mirena Coil.

Your Medical/GP Visit Card entitles you to a range of services from your General Practitioner which are determined by the HSE and the Department of Health, for which the doctor receives payment from the State.
There are, however, a number of additional services provided by many General Practitioners which are not covered by the agreement between the State and General Practitioners.
Some of the commonly requested services not covered by Medical/GP Visit Card are listed below and if you require any of these services please consult with the practice staff to see if they are available and what the fee would be.
